Hope Is Circular

You have to stick around to find your way back home.

What I love about Medium is the way so many share their evolving soul thoughts. IG is fun, but the vulnerable souls that share here are ones I love to come home to. After all, we are all connected under the soil. Even after our leaves fall, the roots pump life through us all.

I guess that's why many of us are here creating and enjoy being in the swells of creative juices… To get sucked up and rerouted in the flow.

Sometimes I feel guilty that not everyone can hold on during the storms or gives up on their search. The tides and winds can be powerful. It's hard to hold on for all of us at times…many times. But it's the journey, not the destination.

What if Dorothy of the Wizard of Oz stopped her search once the Tin Man, Scarecrow, and Cowardly Lion found their way to what they searched for? What they found wasn't what they expected. It wasn't the end of their story either. It was just the beginning.

It's the journey, not the destination. Some will take the balloon back home, but not everyone makes it into the basket. That's a "horse of a different color." Sometimes it's left up to the remaining generation to continue the journey. To continue on the circle of life not sure of what they are looking for, but still wanting to help others find their hearts' way home so they won't give up to rust frozen, get hung up on a post, or be left to roar from a place of fear.

What if Dorothy had given up searching for her peace after bringing others back home, then missed her balloon ride back? When you're discouraged, remember others need you for part of their journies; click your heels because you've always had the power, my dear.
