The four cardinals of growth

My friend and I were having a conversation about growth and development. At some point, she started asking me questions about growth. Suddenly my mind opened up, and I categorized growth into four stages (I must have been inspired by the ton of articles I have read on the medium and other platforms on growth). They are; the gathering stage, the pouring stage, the influence stage and the legendary stage.

The gathering stage

This stage is the point where you are searching for your goals and your vision. And when you find what your life goals are, you begin to gather information about those goals. Sometimes you will be faced with conflicting opinions, and you have to decide what you want for your life. Depending on the complexity of your goal and heart desires, you may have to spend some more time gathering, gathering and gathering.

At this stage, you should listen to podcasts in the area of your pursuit, buy books, attend seminars, dig deep into yourself to clarify what exactly you want. The truth is, as you expose yourself to adequate information, your purpose will begin to get purified. I tell you, this stage is usually the murky stage. Your emotions are rambling but keep at it and keep gathering. The more you gather, the more you can solve the puzzle of your life.

If you are at this stage, embrace the process of becoming who you have desired to be.

The pouring stage

The pouring stage is the time when you test and examine what you have gathered. You start the business, eat the frog, reconcile with the family member and other stuff you may have in mind. You get to pour out what you have learnt. This stage is the creation and application stage.

There can sometimes be an interception between the gathering stage and the pouring stage. In some areas of your life, you might need to gather more resources and build yourself, while in other areas of life, you might need to pour by creating.
