Why Thoughts And Actions Need To Be Unrelated

Thoughts can easily become a barrier that needs to be broken down.

After more than a year working on my craft and developing myself so I can accomplish my life goals, I had come to believe I had overcome the main hurdle of doubt.

After all, it’s when you haven’t accomplished anything that you hesitate the most, isn’t it?

Yet, recently, I have noticed the time to get into action is becoming longer and longer.

While thinking about my goals and about the steps to reach them has indeed become like second nature, I find sitting down to work on my craft is harder than ever before.

Have I stopped enjoying what I do though? No, I haven’t. The moment I sit down, I instantly become thrilled with excitement and even have trouble stopping myself.

The process of working towards our goals is actually some sort of spiral growing outwards.

It’s a simple process and yet we all often end up stuck at certain checkpoints.

It all starts here. There’s no point in working on anything if the goals themselves haven’t been established.

For this first step, no real actions is needed. You can take actionnable steps to find those, but it will always come back to looking within yourself.

You need to discover what excites you, what you are good at, what you aren’t good at, what gives you a sense of purpose, what inspires you… and you need to know Why.

This is easier said than done though!

That first step is where the vast majority of people struggle. After all, in a world of constant evolution and inattention, how are we supposed to find something that can last us a lifetime?

The Why really is what will allow you, later on, to push through hard times, to think outside the box to truly differentiate yourself and but also make your goals evolve with you.

This step can take months, if not years, to be completed if you ignore the important task of finding your Why.
